Best for Work
WT (Work Truck)
The lowest price in the lineup, the same 16.3" screen and safety suite as every other trim, and the option of the 5.7L V8 or Duramax diesel for heavier jobs. Need the most payload? Its standard TurboMax carries the Silverado's top 2,340-lb payload rating.
The 5.7L V8 carries the best-in-class 13,700-lb rating. High Country includes it standard plus Super Cruise with trailering; the Silverado trim offers it for less money.
ZR2 is the most capable: 35" mud-terrain tires, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and a standard Duramax. Trail Boss gives you the 2" lift and 34" tires with a more comfortable cabin at a lower price.
A standard 5.7L V8, panoramic sunroof, 11.5" passenger screen, power tailgate, semi-active damping, real wood trim, and available massaging front seats.
Best value for families: the Silverado trim (formerly LT) adds heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and ambient lighting, includes the Z71 Off-Road package on 4WD models, and still offers both the 5.7L V8 and the Duramax diesel.

Why the bigger V8 tows less: the 6.6L makes the most power, but Chevrolet rates the 5.7L V8 to tow 4,000 lbs more. For boats, campers, or livestock trailers, the 5.7L is the engine to ask for.
